About Me

Hey! I’m Sarah, the person behind the curtain of PastelBat.

I’ve worked with just about any kind of artistic media you can think of, except wood carving. I’m a bit prone to splinters. While I can work with most all media, I mainly work with acrylic paints, watercolors, pencil, and digital art. Art is even a part of my hobbies with knitting, crocheting and quilting. What started all this creative madness? You can thank my mother for my studio overflowing with supplies as she’s the one who first introduced me to the creative world. Since I could hold a pencil she’s let me draw and doodle on any paper that wasn’t important and I soon ended up with a huge stack of notebooks. Since my love of drawing and anything creative never died down, I went to Purdue Polytechnic Richmond for a double major in Animation and Computer Graphics.

I’m an Indiana transplant in New York now, living with my boyfriend Steve and our pudgy cat Puma. When I’m not working in the studio, I’m usually tending the houseplants, working in the garden, or neck deep in one of my video games, usually Stardew Valley.
